Julie, who seems to have friends in every city of the globe - a benefit of being an international school alumnus - met up with her friend Akef in Athens and we tagged along. Akef graciously took us out each night of the conference. We enjoyed his excellent company and a local's perspective on the Athens bar and restaurant scenes. Akef even treated us to a tour of his yacht in an Athens marina. Jason and I spent the rest of the trip dreaming of having a boat in Greece.
