We left Syria amazed at the warmth and friendliness of its people. I am not sure where the dept of state is getting its information, but we found the country to be awash in kindness, charm, hospitality, and generosity. The Crusader castles, medievel souqs, courtyard homes, delicious foods, and lovely local wines have a unique charm all their own. We are fortunate that so many places in the world look past politics to meet the actual people who come to visit.
