Over the Labor Day weekend we went with a group of 22 people to Taba, Egypt. I am a little embarrassed that our first trip to the continent of Africa was completely culture free * we stayed at a five star resort, enjoyed plentiful buffets, lounging at the pool (and the pool-front bar), and of course snorkeling in the Red Sea which was AMAZING, of course many thoughts of Hawaii were triggered, it was a much needed break and amazingly easy. We drove with another couple to the yacht club in Aqaba, gave the ferry company our car keys, caught a private ferry, and landed in Egypt 90 minutes later after a beautiful moonlight boat ride (more memories of Hawaii!) in time to catch the dinner buffet.
